Its smooth surface, water-repellent treatment and calendered downproof finish make it suitable for lightweight down garments, padded jackets, packable clothing and insulated equipment. The plain weave gives CC-0014 a clean, consistent appearance without a visible ripstop grid. This is useful when designers want the lining or shell to remain visually quiet and allow quilting, colour blocking or garment shape to take priority.
