Product Description

Stretch tricot mesh CC-XJ2601 is a 190 GSM three-bar warp-knit fabric made from 80% polyester and 20% spandex. It is developed primarily for stretch panels, support components and ventilation zones rather than for use as a conventional trouser-shell fabric.

Stretch Tricot Mesh for Performance Panels

Buyers asking what mesh fabric is best for sportswear panels should first determine whether the material will be used for ventilation, support, lining or visual detailing. Each application may require a different level of openness, stretch and recovery.

CC-XJ2601 may be considered for:

  • Sports-bra panels
  • Training-top inserts
  • Dancewear
  • Shapewear components
  • Stretch ventilation zones
  • Performance garment panels

The three-bar tricot construction provides a more controlled warp-knit structure than a lightweight decorative mesh. However, actual air permeability, extension, recovery, transparency and support should be evaluated using a physical sample.

For designers researching what fabric is suitable for ventilated activewear panels, fabric placement is also important. Underarm, back and side-panel areas may require different levels of openness and stretch according to the garment pattern.

Application Limitations

This stretch tricot mesh is not recommended as the main fabric for conventional trousers. It may be incorporated into leggings or fitted bottoms only as a strategically positioned mesh insert, provided that coverage, seam compatibility and durability are acceptable.

Brands looking for stretch mesh fabric for dancewear should evaluate transparency, edge curling, snagging, pilling and seam performance. A lining or second fabric layer may be required where greater coverage or support is needed.

The mesh structure may promote airflow, but a numerical breathability claim requires an agreed air-permeability test.

FAQ

What mesh fabric is best for sportswear panels?

The correct mesh depends on the required ventilation, support, transparency and stretch. A physical sample should be evaluated in the intended garment position.

Can CC-XJ2601 be used as pants fabric?

It is not recommended as the main trouser fabric. It may be used as a mesh insert in leggings or fitted bottoms after seam and durability testing.

Is this tricot mesh breathable?

Its mesh structure may support airflow, but any numerical breathability claim requires an air-permeability test.
