Product Description

Midweight Nylon Stretch Fabric for Outdoor Pants – CC-2306

Midweight nylon stretch fabric CC-2306 is designed for trousers and jackets expected to work through a full day of movement. Its 146 GSM weight provides more protection and body than ultralight activewear fabrics, while 12% spandex (elastane) supports four-way flexibility.

The fabric combines 88% nylon and 12% elastane in a 70D × 40D plain-weave construction. A water-repellent finish makes it a practical candidate for hiking pants, travel trousers, workwear and outdoor uniforms.

Built for Trousers That Need to Move

Sitting, climbing, bending and stepping place repeated stress around the knees, hips and waistband. A four-way stretch woven fabric can help garment patterns follow these movements without depending entirely on loose fitting.

For brands sourcing a 146 GSM nylon four-way stretch fabric for hiking pants, CC-2306 offers moderate structure with useful mobility. It may be considered for:

  • Hiking and trekking trousers
  • Travel and commuting pants
  • Flexible work trousers
  • Outdoor uniform bottoms
  • Stretch utility jackets
  • Articulated knees and movement panels

Actual stretch and recovery should be measured against the intended garment specification before bulk production.

More Body Than an Ultralight Stretch Woven

Compared with CC-2829, CC-2306 is heavier and better suited to trousers, utility clothing and garments requiring greater coverage. As a water-repellent nylon elastane fabric for outdoor workwear, it can create a cleaner, more controlled silhouette than very light activewear fabrics.

The nylon content provides the main woven structure, while elastane introduces flexibility. Abrasion resistance, tear strength and seam slippage must still be confirmed through testing, particularly for demanding occupational use.

Practical Weather Protection

The W/R finish helps light rain and splashes bead on the surface. It does not make the fabric waterproof and should not replace coating, lamination or seam sealing where a confirmed rain rating is required.

Before approving midweight nylon stretch fabric, buyers should review movement, recovery, opacity, seam appearance, colour fastness, dimensional stability and W/R durability on a prototype garment.
