Downproof ripstop pongee fabric CC-0013 is built around a simple objective: support lightweight insulated products without adding unnecessary bulk. At only 62 GSM, it combines a visible ripstop grid, water-repellent treatment and calendered downproof finishing in a compact 100% polyester construction.

The 50D × 50D yarn specification keeps the fabric light while giving it more substance than ultra-fine lining materials. Its ripstop pattern also creates a technical appearance that works naturally with outdoor jackets, packable garments and insulated equipment.

A Ripstop Structure Without Heavy Weight

Ripstop fabric uses reinforced yarns arranged in a grid. If the surface is accidentally punctured or damaged, this grid is designed to help limit the spread of a small tear. It does not make the fabric indestructible, but it provides a practical structural advantage over a comparable plain weave.

The W/R finish helps light moisture form droplets on the fabric surface rather than being absorbed immediately. This provides useful protection for packable jackets, lightweight insulated garments and sleeping bags exposed to occasional moisture.

W/R means water-repellent, not waterproof. CC-0013 does not automatically provide a confirmed hydrostatic-pressure rating. If a project requires waterproof performance, an appropriate coating or lamination must be developed and tested separately.

Buyers should define the required initial water-repellency grade, washing method and durability target before sampling.
