Lightweight nylon cotton fabric CC-NC012 is a cotton-rich plain weave developed for light uniforms, overshirts and warm-weather utility clothing. Its construction combines a 70D nylon filament warp with a 21s cotton weft, producing 31% nylon and 69% cotton. At 115 GSM, it is one of the lighter materials in this nylon/cotton collection. The plain weave provides a clean, understated surface without the visible diagonal line of twill or the heavier texture of Oxford. For sourcing teams developing lighter uniforms and casual utility garments, lightweight nylon cotton fabric CC-NC012 may be considered for: When used for trousers or unlined garments, opacity and seam strength should be checked in the selected production colour. Light shades may require additional evaluation. The supplied specification includes Grade 4 water repellency. This treatment is intended to resist brief surface moisture but does not make the fabric waterproof. The buyer should confirm the applicable test method, initial rating and wash-durability requirement. A light fabric may also respond differently to finishing than heavier workwear constructions, so bulk weight, hand feel and dimensional stability should be controlled. Before approving lightweight nylon cotton fabric, sourcing teams should test tear strength, seam slippage, shrinkage, colour fastness and opacity. Explore other lightweight woven materials on the CC Textile products page, or watch short fabric videos on CC Textile TikTok. The cotton component can be supplied through a Better Cotton (BCI) sourcing option. Supporting documentation is available according to the confirmed order route. Is 115 GSM suitable for trousers?
