Product Description

Nylon cotton faille fabric CC-NC011 is a cotton-rich woven material distinguished by its horizontal rib structure. It combines a 70D nylon filament warp with a heavier 10s cotton weft, producing a composition of 26% nylon and 74% cotton.

The difference between the fine warp and heavier weft helps form the crosswise ribs associated with faille constructions. At 220 GSM, the fabric has sufficient body for structured trousers, overshirts and uniform garments.

Nylon Cotton Faille Fabric for Textured Apparel

For Western apparel buyers, “faille” is a more accurate description than “grosgrain” because grosgrain is frequently associated with narrow ribbons and trims. The faille-style construction describes a full-width apparel fabric with visible crosswise ribs.

For brands seeking nylon cotton faille fabric, CC-NC011 may be evaluated for:

  • Structured overshirts
  • Utility and uniform trousers
  • Chore jackets
  • Workwear-inspired casualwear
  • Textured uniform garments
  • Transitional-season outerwear

The rib direction should remain consistent during cutting because panels rotated in different directions may reflect light differently or appear to vary in shade.

Grade 4 Water Repellency

CC-NC011 includes a Grade 4 water-repellent finish intended to help brief surface moisture bead on the fabric. It should not be described as waterproof unless a separate waterproof construction and test result are confirmed.

The applicable spray-test method, initial rating and required durability after laundering should be included in the approved production specification.

Before approving nylon cotton faille fabric, buyers should confirm rib appearance, tensile strength, tear strength, seam performance, dimensional stability and colour fastness.
