Product Description

Two-ply nylon cotton twill CC-NC007 is a 270 GSM workwear fabric combining a 200D nylon filament warp with a 21s/2 cotton weft. Its confirmed composition is 44% nylon and 56% cotton.

The two-ply cotton weft gives the construction a more substantial yarn profile than a comparable single-yarn fabric. Combined with the 3/1 twill weave, it provides the body required for structured trousers, jackets and uniforms.

Two-Ply Nylon Cotton Twill for Utility Clothing

For buyers sourcing two-ply nylon cotton twill, CC-NC007 may be evaluated for:

  • Workwear and utility trousers
  • Cargo pants
  • Uniform garments
  • Chore and field jackets
  • Structured overshirts
  • Workwear-inspired casualwear

The 21s/2 yarn notation identifies a two-ply cotton yarn. Final hand feel and surface appearance will also depend on dyeing, finishing and mechanical treatment.

Water-Repellent Finish

CC-NC007 is supplied with a Grade 4 water-repellent finish intended to resist brief surface moisture. It should not be presented as waterproof unless an additional waterproof construction and relevant test result are confirmed.

The agreed specification should identify the applicable test method, initial spray rating and wash-durability requirement.

Before approving two-ply nylon cotton twill, sourcing teams should test tensile strength, tear strength, abrasion resistance, seam slippage, dimensional stability and colour fastness.

Better Cotton Option

A Better Cotton (BCI) sourcing option is available for the cotton component, with relevant supporting documentation provided according to order requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does 21s/2 mean?
It indicates a two-ply cotton yarn made by twisting two yarns together.

Is the Grade 4 finish fully waterproof?
No. It describes water repellency under an agreed test method, not a waterproof barrier.

Can the cotton component use Better Cotton?
Yes. A Better Cotton sourcing option is available upon request.
